Is BSmeter an AI or Not alternative?

Not really, and we'd rather be straight with you. If your job is detecting AI-generated images, voice clones, synthetic music or ChatGPT-written text — especially via API — AI or Not is purpose-built for that and BSmeter is not a replacement. BSmeter does flag deepfake and AI-media signals, but as one input to a much broader analysis of whether spoken claims are factually accurate. Come to BSmeter if the question is "is this true?", not "is this generated?"

Can AI or Not tell me if a video's claims are false?

Accepted Answer

No, and it doesn't claim to. AI or Not evaluates authenticity — whether the media was synthetically produced or manipulated. A real, unedited video of a person confidently stating something false will read as authentic, because it is. Verifying the statements themselves against sources is what BSmeter does.

Should I use both together?

Accepted Answer

For anything high-stakes, yes. They're complementary layers: AI or Not establishes whether you're looking at real media, and BSmeter establishes whether the content of that media checks out. Fake footage of a true claim and real footage of a false claim are both misleading, and neither tool catches both on its own.
